About ITACA-DIMAS
We undertake scientific and applied research, technological development and technology transfer initiatives in the field of microwave engineering
ITACA-DIMAS
Our group undertakes scientific and applied research, technological development and technology transfer initiatives in the field of microwave engineering. We also offer services in consultancy, high frequency material measurements, and expert feasibility studies in projects of technological development, applicable to the microwave sector.
The division comprises university staff, dedicated researchers, technicians, and talented fellowship students. The team of researchers is now well-established with close links to industry and has one of the best independent microwave design and test facilities in Spain, including state-of-the-art hardware and software equipment to address diverse systems and prototype designs. At the same time, ITACA has the appropriate resources to develop the project according to the requests of the business within the framework of a professional agreement or contract.
We develop our scientific activity and technological development in the framework of competition projects with European, national and local financing as well as private agreements. The team disseminates research results through publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference and workshop presentations, and participation in standards organizations.
Our commitment to innovation drives us to explore new frontiers in microwave engineering. By collaborating with national and international research institutions, we foster shared knowledge and cutting-edge discoveries, keeping our research at the forefront of technological advancements across various industries.
We hope that the collection of information included in these pages will help you in understanding our work and in making use of the technical capabilities and services that we provide for industry, government, and academia.
ITACA
The institute of Communicatinks and Information technology (ITACA) is a research entity of the Universitat Politècnica de València recognised in 2005 as a University Research Institute, the highest research grade for research structures of Spanish Universities. ITACA Institute, located at the CPI Park, conducts research over a broad spectrum of disciplines related to ICT, including digital electronic systems, industrial electronics, telecommunication systems, healthcare systems, sensors, electromagnetism and microwave applications.
CPI
The Polytechnic City of Innovation (CPI) is the Science Park of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). The scientific park is conceived as a space to connect the university, businesses, and society to accelerate the generation of knowledge-intensive activities. The CPI aims to contribute to capitalizing on UPV’s knowledge by generating impact through the transfer of its results and contributing to socio-economic development.
UPV
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) founded in 1971, is a young, dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial leading university in Spain, being the unique Spanish Technical University that features in all the world University rankings. It is among the Spanish Universities with the highest revenue from competitive research (R&D contracts, consulting and service delivery, spin-off) and a national leader in patent exploitation.
